Prescription & powers: choosing your Diopter
The one thing you must get right before adding to cart is your power — per eye. Here's how to read a contact lens prescription and pick the correct Diopter for each eye.
Your glasses prescription and your contact lens prescription are not the same — contacts sit on the eye, so they need their own numbers. Use the contact lens prescription or lens parameters from your eye-care professional.
What the numbers mean
A contact lens prescription lists a few parameters. These are the ones you'll select at checkout:
In this example the eyes differ by 0.50 — so you'd set the right eye to −2.50 and the left to −3.00 at checkout.
How to order, step by step
Find your contact lens prescription
Use the one from your eye-care professional — not your glasses prescription. It should be current and unexpired.
Pick the series and format
Choose your moodyPlus series and daily or monthly format on the product page.
Set the Diopter for each eye
Select the right-eye (OD) and left-eye (OS) power separately. Same power both eyes? Pick the same value twice.
Different power per eye?
If your product uses a single-power selector, add one Diopter first, then add the other eye's power as a second box.
Don't know your power?
If you've worn lenses before, your power is on the box or your prescription card. If you've never been fitted for contacts, you'll need an eye exam first — a glasses prescription alone isn't enough to order contacts safely.
